Wheelchair Tennis Atlanta
Mission
Wheelchair Tennis Atlanta is established to promote and develop the growth of wheelchair tennis in Atlanta and surrounding areas in harmony with all the groups that have a vested interest in giving disabled individuals opportunities for recreational and competitive activities.
Vision
Our vision is to be able to give any disabled individual the opportunity to try wheelchair tennis and develop their skills from initiation to elite player either for recreation or competition. As a result, we also hope to inspire and amaze the able bodied community by showing them that although we may have a disability we are able to compete at a very advanced level.
Short Term Goals
We will continue to keep up with current events in wheelchair tennis and update this site and our Facebook Page
We will conduct clinics to give beginners a chance to try tennis at no expense.
We hope to create relationships with tennis organizations and local businesses to make these programs sustainable.
Long Term Goals
We hope to be able to provide grant monies to players to be able to join leagues, play in tournaments and possibly even travel to out of state tournaments.
We hope to purchase some tennis equipment including rackets and chairs for some new players that have the love of the game but might not have the resources to get started.
We hope to expand this program to other cities and states to promote the growth of wheelchair tennis.
